Pickpocket At The None Jakarta Abang Event Returns The Phone Of A Parekraf Sub-Department Employee, Cases Are Resolved Without Legal Process

JAKARTA - A pickpocket who had acted at the peak of Abang None Jakarta 2025 at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), Friday, September 26, at night, finally returned the victim's cellphone. The action was previously caught on camera and was circulated on social media.

The perpetrator sent back the victim's cellphone, Farhan Fauzan, an employee of the West Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-dept., via courier service on Saturday, September 27, at around 18.30 WIB. This action then made Farhan choose not to proceed with the case to legal action.

"The perpetrator has good intentions to return it," said Farhan when giving a statement, Sunday, September 28. He also made a statement at the Menteng Police that the case was considered over, as well as preparing a video clarification to be distributed to the media and related agencies.

Previously, Farhan was questioned by the police. However, after the goods returned, he stated that the case was closed. "As a victim, I said that this case was over," he said.

The pickpocketing incident occurred when the Governor of Jakarta Pramono Anung and Deputy Governor Rano Karno arrived at the location of the event. In the circulating footage, a man in a black jacket with the number 77 took Farhan's cellphone covering the atmosphere of the arrival of an official.

With the return of the cellphone and the peaceful attitude chosen by the victim, this case is an example of solving problems outside the legal route.
