Demak Police Arrest Five Suspected Murderers

DEMAK - Demak Resort Police, Central Java, managed to uncover two cases of murder and beatings that killed their victims by arresting five suspected perpetrators involved.

"The first case occurred at the Waru Market Crossroad, Mranggen District. The perpetrator with the initials DS (25), a resident of Waru Village, finally surrendered himself to the Mranggen Police Station accompanied by a local village head after killing the victim with the initials AA," said Demak Deputy Police Chief Kompol Hendrie Suryo Liquisasono in Demak, Saturday.

Based on the confession in front of the officers, he said, the perpetrator was annoyed by the victim AA. The tragic incident occurred on August 28, 2025.

The incident began when the victim and his friend repaired a motorbike at the intersection. The suspect DS who passed by felt provoked after being shouted at. There was an argument, the victim hit DS with a stick that hit his head and neck. DS then responded with a stone, then went home to take a sickle and again injured the victim until he finally died while being treated in hospital.

From the scene of the incident, the police secured evidence in the form of stones, wood, shirts covered in blood, and sickles with a length of one meter. For his actions, DS was charged with Article 338 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 170 paragraph (2) of the 3rd Criminal Code with a maximum threat of 15 years in prison.

The second case, namely the beating that killed the victim with the initials BS (46) from Kota Kudus District. The incident occurred on September 3, 2025 at 00.30 WIB at a shop owned by the suspect EP (25) in Karanganyar Village, Karanganyar District.

Apart from EP, the police also named three other suspects, namely EA (38), MI (16) a resident of Karanganyar, and SB (45) from Kudus. The commotion started with an argument between the victim and the shop employee, then developed into a fight between BS and EP.

"After being beaten by EP, the victim was beaten by another perpetrator. The victim's friend's efforts to intervene ended with them being persecuted. Overall there were six victims in the incident," he said.

The commotion got worse after 20 fellow suspects also abused the victims. BS, who suffered bruises on his head and body, eventually died while being hospitalized, while other victims were still undergoing medical treatment.

The four suspects along with evidence are now being held at the Demak Police Station. They were charged with Article 170 paragraph (2) of the 3rd Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
