Pramono Claims Jakarta Role Model For Religious Harmony

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung assesses that Jakarta can be seen as a role model for religious harmony for other regions. This was revealed when inaugurating the management of the DKI Jakarta Province Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB) for the 2025-2030 period.

In his remarks, Pramono emphasized the importance of caring for inter-religious harmony in order to create a peaceful atmosphere in the capital city.

"If Jakarta is peaceful, calm, calm, and the spiritual atmosphere feels soothing, brings happiness, brings peace to all of us, I am sure this will also have an impact on other areas," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Thursday, September 25.

According to Pramono, Jakarta is a multicultural, multiethnic city, where almost all cultures, ethnicities, religions exist in this province. Therefore, Pramono emphasized that diversity in Jakarta should not be seen as a burden, but an opportunity.

"If Jakarta is peaceful and cool, it will have a positive impact on other areas. However, Jakarta remains the capital city of the country and the epicenter of life in Indonesia," he explained.

Pramono also emphasized that FKUB has a strategic role in opening spaces for cross-ethnic, cultural, and religious dialogue. In addition, FKUB is expected to be able to moderate differences of opinion and prioritize the principles of mutual cooperation, mutual cooperation, and kinship in solving problems.

"The presence of FKUB is important to maintain harmony, prevent potential conflicts, foster tolerance, and strengthen religious moderation by fostering the spirit of mutual cooperation and community togetherness," said Pramono.

Furthermore, the former Cabinet Secretary hopes that the new FKUB management can increase synergy with the community in maintaining harmony and peace in Jakarta.

"I really hope that FKUB will become the main symbol in Jakarta. Don't let FKUB get out of touch. So I hope that harmony is peace, comfort, peace, mutual cooperation is something that is guarded together," he said.
