Secure MotoGP At Mandalika Circuit, NTB Police Highlight Potential Animals Entering Tourist Areas

JAKARTA - West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief (Kapolda NTB) NIrjen Polisi Hadi Gunawan emphasized that the smooth implementation of the 2025 MotoGP event which will take place at the Mandalika Circuit is an opportunity to raise the good name of NTB in the eyes of the world.

"The purpose of securing MotoGP is to bring up the NTB, that the implementation of MotoGP is carried out well because those who watch this are not only from Lombok, but also from the international world," said the Kapolda after holding an apple for the Mandalika Operations Force Rinjani 2025 at the Bhara Daksa Polda NTB Field, Mataram, Wednesday, confiscated by Antara.

If the implementation goes smoothly, said the Kapolda, this extreme racing event will have a positive impact on the regions, revive MSMEs and introduce NTB tourism to the world.

The implementation of the 2025 Mandalika Operations Forces Apple which took place today is part of the NTB Police's commitment and all security elements in the success of the MotoGP event.

In the security activity, the NTB Police deployed 3,037 joint personnel consisting of 2,580 NTB Regional Police personnel, 266 operational assistance personnel (BKO) from the National Police Headquarters, and 500 security personnel from government agencies, as well as security support from the TNI as many as 191 personnel.

He explained that security is divided into three zones, namely west, middle, and east, with seven task forces covering preventive, preemptive, and action.

Technological support was also prepared by the National Police Headquarters, including the anti-drone system and air monitoring using helicopters.

In addition, traffic engineering will be implemented, starting from transportation routes, parking areas, to crowd flow arrangements. The Kapolda added that the potential for small disturbances and community protests will be anticipated with a peaceful communication approach.

"What needs to be anticipated is many things, even small things like animals that enter the tourist area. We will arrange everything. If there are people who protest, we carry out peaceful communication, don't disturb the course of the event," he said.

Through Operation Mandalika Rinjani 2025, the NTB Police together with all stakeholders hope that the Mandalika 2025 MotoGP which will take place on October 3-5 will run safely, smoothly, and provide benefits to the community through MSME activities, tourist villages, and local lodging businesses.
