Jokowi Supports Prabowo-Gibran For 2 Periods, Puan: Elections Are Still Far Away

JAKARTA - The chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, responded to the instructions of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, to his volunteers to support Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming to continue the government for two terms.

The chairman of the PDIP DPP emphasized that the 2029 general election (election) was still very far away. Moreover, Prabowo-Gibran has not even been president and vice president of the Republic of Indonesia for one year.

"The election is still far away," said Puan at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 23.

Puan also invited all parties to work together in building the nation and state by working together.

"So the important thing is how we work together to build the nation and state," he said.

Previously, Jokowi instructed volunteers to support the Prabowo 'Gibran pair to run again in the 2029 presidential election.

This instruction also confirmed the statement of the General Chairperson of the Volunteers Bara Jokowi President (Bara JP), Willem Frans Ansanay.

"From the start, I conveyed to all volunteers like that, to support the government of Mr. President Prabowo 'Gibran for two terms," said Jokowi in Solo, Friday, September 19.

However, Jokowi did not explain further when asked about Prabowo's signal that Gibran would be back in pairs in 2029.

"I conveyed it to the volunteers," he said.
