Police Call The Motive For Teenagers To Abort In Penjaringan Because They Are Not Ready To Care For Children

The North Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) revealed the motive for the abortion case by the suspect with the initials H against victim AM, his girlfriend in the Penjaringan area, North Jakarta.

"He is afraid (not ready) to be responsible for taking care of children," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Onkoseno Gradiarso Sukahar when confirmed, Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

The police also detained the suspect with the initials H who was the mastermind behind the abortion of his girlfriend, AM.

"The abortion case determined by the suspect is the victim's girlfriend with the initials H. He forced the victim (AM) to abort the fetus. For now, we have detained the perpetrator or suspect H," he said.

Meanwhile AM, the suspect's lover is still in intensive care at the hospital.

"Still under treatment, yes (his status is a witness) because he still can't take his statement," he said.

Previously, a couple in Penjaringan were secured by the PPA Unit of the North Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) to abort the womb illegally in the Kapuk Muara area, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.

North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Erick Frendriz said the perpetrator with the initials H and his girlfriend with the initials AM made efforts to reduce the womb.

"The perpetrator did it by consuming and inserting a drug containing the Misoprostol type into his body," said Kombes Erick, Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

Then about two hours after the drug was taken, the drug began to act. The fetus came out.

"The perpetrator took his girlfriend to the Penjaringan Health Center to get medical help," he said.
