Bogor And Tangerang Agree On The Solution For The Long Parung Mining Line

Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto together with the Bogor Regency Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) and the Tangerang Regency Government held a cross-regional meeting to discuss the resolution of the mining transportation problem in Parung Panjang District.

In the meeting, Rudy emphasized that public safety and interests must be a top priority. He reminded that even though it has only been seven months in office, the problem of mining routes has been going on since 1974 and must be resolved immediately.

"The safety and interests of the community are the main things. Let's sit down together and put personal or group interests as a common interest. People are everything," said Rudy, Monday, September 22.

Rudy explained that the Bogor Regency Government has prepared concrete steps, including the allocation of hundreds of billions of rupiah from the 2025 APBD to improve infrastructure in Parung Panjang, Rumpin, and other affected areas. The special mining roads that are built, he said, will be free of charge and targeted to be completed in stages until 2027.

Although the mining permit was issued by the West Java Provincial Government, Rudy emphasized that the Bogor Regency Government remains responsible for maintaining the safety of citizens. He also highlighted the importance of more effective cross-regional communication so that solutions can be achieved immediately.

"We don't talk much, the important thing is that people are safe, the business world is still running, and the people's economy is moving," he said.

The Regional Secretary of Tangerang Regency, Soma Atmaja, added that the main policy in resolving this problem is to separate the mining transportation route from the general public route. The plan for the construction of special lanes along 11.5 to 13.5 kilometers is prepared to be connected to provincial roads and toll access.

According to Soma, the repair of the 66-kilometer provincial road will begin in 2025 by the West Java Highways Office, while Bogor Regency works on 16 priority roads. The total budget allocated reaches around Rp. 104 billion.

In addition to long-term development, the government has also implemented operational hours rules as a temporary solution. Mining transportation contains only allowed to operate at 22.00 05.00 WIB, while empty transportation is allowed to enter at 09.00 11.00 WIB and 15.00 16.00 WIB.

"In principle, development must go hand in hand with the needs of the community. All parties must be committed to maintaining a mutual agreement for the smooth development and comfort of the citizens," said Soma.

This effort is expected to answer the aspirations of the Parung Panjang community who have been affected by mining vehicle activities.

The meeting was also attended by Forkopimda, Deputy Regent of Bogor, Regional Secretary of Bogor Regency, Head of Tangerang Regency Transportation Agency, heads of regional apparatus, sub-district heads, youth organizations, and transporters.
