JAKARTA - The Penjaringan Metro Police stated that they could not confirm the cause of the death of a girl with the initials AR (8) who was found dead in the boarding house room on Jalan Arwana, Pejagalan Village, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta on Sunday (21/9).

"Based on the external post-mortem, we have not been able to confirm the point of injury experienced by the victim because his condition is rotten," said Metro Penjaringan Police Chief AKBP Agus Ady Wijaya, Monday, September 22.

He said the victim was thought to have died for five days and when he found his body condition was rotten. Not only that, the blood was scattered and the smell was pungent at the scene.

"So the wound is not a stab wound. We have not been able to conclude that far because it must be investigated by experts later from forensics," he said.

After processing the crime scene (TKP), the officers carried out an external post-mortem and immediately sent the body to the Police Hospital for an autopsy so that the cause of death of the victim was known.

"The North Jakarta Metro Police identification team has also conducted an examination and taken a number of evidences at the scene," said Agus.

He added that this girl did live in the room with her mother. The mother who owns the boarding house.

Agus added that until now the officers are still asking for more in-depth information from their parents because this has a relationship with the child who has been found dead.

"Of course, we must understand the emotional condition of our parents as well as family wetness and must take their statements slowly and gradually," he said.

Based on witness testimony, Agus said, the victim's parents were busy working, so they did not really understand the condition of the child in the upper room. However, his party continues to explore the case.
