PALANGKA RAYA - Governor of Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) Agustiar Sabran inspected the condition of the cut off national road, precisely on Jalan Tjilik Riwut km 18, Hampalit Village, Katingan Regency.
"We will take immediate steps so that the cut off road is quickly handled," said Agustiar when contacted from Palangka Raya, Saturday.
According to information, the road had been cut since early Saturday morning due to heavy rainfall which caused water to overflow onto the road, causing the road to break.

The governor also coordinated with the Road Hall of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) so that repairs would be carried out immediately, so that the strategic connecting route between regions could be re-functioned.
"This path is the lifeblood of public transportation, we must not delay it," said the governor of Central Kalimantan.
The governor emphasized that the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government will continue to coordinate with related parties and make every effort so that public transportation access can be recovered immediately.
Previously, the Head of Subsidy for Public Relations of the Sihumas Polres Katingan Bripka Adi Rahim said his party had deployed 10 personnel to overcome the flow of traffic on the cut road.
"The 10 personnel deployed are joint personnel from the Satlantas and Samapta of the Katingan Police, to regulate traffic flow," he explained.
Currently, the road can be passed thanks to cross-sectoral coordination, especially the National Road Hall, so that temporary hoarding is carried out using stone and soil materials.
However, the road can be passed by an open and close system, so motorists who want to pass must queue alternately.
"Congestion remains, because the roads are congested and those passing must take turns. The queue is estimated to reach 2 kilometers. But currently it is still under control," he said.
Adi ensured that the personnel on duty would regulate traffic at the scene until the road could function normally again.
