President Prabowo Appoints Deputy Minister Dony Oskaria As Acting Minister Of SOEs

JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi announced the appointment of Deputy Minister of SOEs Dony Oskaria as Acting Minister of SOEs replacing Erick Thohir.

The decision was taken at the direct direction of President Prabowo Subianto and has been submitted to the relevant parties.

"On the President's instructions and we have conveyed to related parties, Plt was appointed deputy minister on behalf of Dony Oskaria to run the Acting Ministry of SOEs," Prasetyo said at a press conference at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, Antara, Friday, September 19.

Prasetyo explained that Dony was chosen because of his status as deputy minister and no longer serves as a device in the Danantara.

"Hopefully, this assignment can accelerate the improvement of BUMN which is being carried out by Danantara," he said.

Regarding the duration of the assignment, Prasetyo revealed that there was no certainty of time.

The appointment of Deputy Minister of SOEs Dony Oskaria as Acting Minister of SOEs has also been stated in the official letter of the Minister of State Secretary numbered B-20/M/S/AN.00.03/09/2025 dated 17 September 2025.

In the letter signed by the Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, President Prabowo assigned Dony to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the Minister of SOEs until the appointment of a definitive minister.

The letter stated that the appointment was made to ensure the smooth implementation of the duties and functions of the Ministry of SOEs after the stipulation of Presidential Decree Number 96/P of 2025 concerning the dismissal and appointment of ministers and deputy ministers in the Red and White Cabinet for the period 2024'2029.

The copy letter was submitted to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, and two other deputy SOE ministers.
