Not Happy His Ex-girlfriend Is Dating, A Man In Cilincing Kills Tongkrongan's Friend

JAKARTA - A young man named Mohammad Yusuf (19) was found dead covered in blood in his rented room in the Kalibaru area, Cilincing, North Jakarta.

The victim was allegedly killed by his colleague due to a love triangle scandal. The perpetrator killed the victim on suspicion of jealousy his ex-girlfriend was in contact with the victim.

When found, there were a number of stab wounds of sharp weapons on the victim's body. Luckily, the perpetrator was caught on CCTV cameras, making it easier for the police to carry out an investigation.

Cilincing Police Chief, AKP Bobi Subasri confirmed the incident. Police also managed to arrest the perpetrators of the murder.

"The perpetrator with the initials A (has been arrested). The perpetrator and the victim know each other," said AKP Bobi when confirmed, Friday, September 19, 2025.

Meanwhile, based on the CCTV footage received, it was seen that the perpetrator wearing a blue t-shirt and hat came with someone suspected of being his colleague to the victim's rented room in the Kalibaru area, Cilincing.

Four minutes later, the man suspected of being the perpetrator left the room.

CCTV footage also shows him tucking a sharp weapon into his pants before leaving the location.

Meanwhile, according to witness testimony, the murder was motivated by the perpetrator's jealousy towards the victim. The perpetrator did not accept it because the victim was in a relationship with his ex-girlfriend.

Currently, the perpetrator is still being investigated at the Cilincing Police Station to explore the motive for the stabbing.

"Obviously it will be released later," said the police chief.
