Police Susun File Five Brimob Involved In Affan Kurniawan's Eradication

JAKARTA - The Professional Supervision Bureau (Wabprof) of the National Police's Professional and Security Division (Propam) is currently compiling files on five Brimob members involved in the case of Affan Kurniawan's death due to being run over by a tactical vehicle.

The five Brimob members are Aipda M. Rohyani, First Brigadier Danang, First Brigadier Mardin, Saba Jana Edi, and Baraka Yohanes David.

"From the Wabprof Bureau of the Propam Division, the completeness of the case files, especially in the completeness of the trial of the Police Professional Ethics Commission, is still in progress to complete it," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigien Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko to reporters, Wednesday, September 17.

In the process of taking action against the five members of the Brimob Polda Metro Jaya, the National Police will prioritize transparency of all stages.

However, said Trunoyudo, the process takes time because the stages of the examination must be carried out according to the rules.

"There is a phase in this process that needs to be carried out by the examiner so that we also guarantee and ensure that it will involve internal functions as supervision," he said.

"Both Itwasum and also Propam are holding and the second is external, especially from Kompolnas which did not close as yesterday also opened access from Komnas HAM and also the Director General of Human Rights and the Ministry of Human Rights," continued Trunoyudo.

It is known, Based on the results of the examination, the five Brimob members were concluded to have committed violations that were categorized as moderate.

Meanwhile, the other two, namely Kompol Cosmas Kaju Gae and Bripka Rohmad, have undergone a KKEP trial. They were found guilty.

Kompol Cosmas Kaju Gae underwent a KKEP trial on Wednesday, September 3. As a result, the trial panel imposed sanctions for dismissal or Disrespectful Dismissal (PTDH).

Meanwhile, Bripka Rohmad was also found guilty and sentenced to a seven-year demotion mutation.

Both of them officially filed an appeal against the decision of the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP).

"Against the decision of the KKEP trial that was held last week, both of them have filed an appeal," Trunoyudo said.
