KPK Summons Son Alex Noerdin, Former Regent Of Musi Banyuasin, Regarding Allegations Of Infrastructure Corruption

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned former Musi Banyuasin Regent Dodi Alex Noerdin today, September 17. Alex Noerdin's son, will be questioned regarding the alleged corruption of infrastructure in Musi Banyuasin Regency.

"The investigation was carried out at the South Sumatra Police Mobile Brigade Unit Command Headquarters," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, September 17.

Apart from Dodi, the anti-corruption commission also summoned Herman Mayori as the former Head of PUPR for Musi Banyuasin Regency; Robby Candra as the ASN of the Musi Banyuasin Regency Government or Secretary of PPHP; Khaerul Rahmat as the admin of PT Conbloc Infratecno in 2018; and Budiono's Rifle which is the Manager of PBK PT Istaka Karya.

Budi has not yet detailed the examination of the five people. He only said that Dodi's statements and the other four witnesses needed investigators.

"KPK has scheduled the examination of witnesses for alleged corruption related to infrastructure improvement projects in the Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra," he said.

Dodi Alex Noerdin is known to have been convicted of alleged bribery in the work of four projects at the PUPR Office of Musi Banyuasin Regency in 2021. He was also required to pay a fine of Rp250 million and a replacement money of Rp1.16 billion.

However, this verdict was circumcised after Dodi filed an appeal. The Palembang High Court sentenced the former South Sumatra Governor Alex Noerdin to four years in prison.

The anti-corruption commission then carried out developments on this case. Searches have been carried out at the PUPR Office and the Office for the Procurement of Goods and Services.

The case being investigated is related to the work of increasing Jalan Tebing Bulang Km 11 Jirak-Jembatan hang-Talang Simpang- Simpang Rukun Rahayu-Mekar Jaya at the PUPR Office Musi Banyuasin APBD 2018. Investigators work based on a general investigation warrant (sprindik) which means there is no suspect name.
