Today The Constitutional Court Reads The Formal Test Decision Of The TNI Law

JAKARTA - The Constitutional Court (MK) will present a decision on a number of formal testing cases of Law Number 3 of 2025 concerning Amendments to Law Number 34 of 2004 concerning the Indonesian National Army (UU TNI), Wednesday, September 17 afternoon.

The trial for the pronouncement of the verdict is scheduled to take place at 13.30 WIB at the MKRI building 1 floor 2, Jakarta. There were 5 cases with different applicants that would be read out at the trial.

The first case is registered with number 81/PUU-XXIII/2025 with applicant Muhamad Isnur from the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation (YLBHI) with Meila Nurul Fajriah. The second case numbered 75/PUU-XXIII/2025 was filed by Muhammad Imam Maulana.

Then, the third case number 69/PUU-XXIII/2025 was filed by Fadhil Wirdiyan Ihsan. Meanwhile, the fourth case number 56/PUU-XXIII/2025 was recorded in the names of Tariq Qudsi Al Fahd and Tanaya. The last case is the fifth number 45/PUU-XXIII/2025 with the applicants Muhammad Alif Ramadhan and Muhammad.

The five cases both tested the formal aspects of the formation of the TNI Law which was only passed in 2025. The petitioners considered that the legislative process of the law was not in accordance with the provisions, thus asking the Constitutional Court to declare the TNI Law the result of the amendment was null and void.
