Motorcycle Thief Couples In 30 Locations Arrested By Bojonegoro Police

BOJONEGORO - Bojonegoro Resort Police (Polres) officers, East Java arrested a married couple (couple) who stole two-wheeled motorized vehicles that acted in 30 crime scenes (TKP) in the local area.

Bojonegoro Police Chief AKBP Afrian Satya Permadi said the two perpetrators who were arrested by the police last week were known to have the initials TH (41) and his wife WI (42), who are residents of Ngimbang District, Lamongan Regency, East Java.

"As a result of the police investigation, the theft was carried out by a couple from May to September 2025, there were 30 crime scenes," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 16.

Afrian explained that three crime scenes were reported to the Bojonegoro Police, including in front of a shop in Sidomulyo Village, Kedungadem District, on the side of the road in Jipo Village, Kepohbaru District and in the parking lot of Baiturrohim mosque, Sidobandung Village, Balen District.

The Bojonegoro Police will coordinate with the Tuban and Lamongan Police to confirm other crime scenes.

Initially, the two suspects toured randomly to find a motorcycle target with a lock stuck in the vehicle, especially in the mosque area and rice fields.

"The perpetrator was arrested by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bojonegoro Police along with the police on the Kedungadem area road while stealing in the area," he said.

Meanwhile, the stolen goods were sold to a collector with the initials FL (40), a resident of Kedungmungal Village through JS (29) from Kedungmungal Village and G (38), from Kaloporo Village. The three are residents of Pungging District, Mojokerto Regency, East Java.

In order to account for his actions, the suspect in the crime of theft was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a maximum threat of 7 years in prison. Meanwhile, the detainee is charged with a maximum imprisonment of 4 years.
