Marunda Residents Ask Prabowo To Intervene In Re-evaluation Of The Concrete Fence In The Cilincing Sea

Chairman of the Community Forum Rusunawa Marunda (FMRM) Didi Suwandi asked President Prabowo Subianto to re-evaluate the construction of a concrete embankment in the Cilincing sea.

This embankment is known to belong to PT Karya Citra Nusantara (KCN) which is intended to build a port dock.

"Asked the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, to intervene directly to ensure that the Sea Concrete in Cilincing Sea Waters is not in accordance with the President's vision and mission, namely to facilitate access to fishermen and encourage fishermen to get welfare," Didi told reporters, Tuesday, September 16.

According to Didi, the concrete clash in Cilincing waters makes it difficult for fishermen to access. Marunda residents, he continued, are also worried about damage to marine biota and will cause Abrasi around the shoreline.

In addition, FMRM also asked the Ombudsman to take steps to investigate allegations of maladministration

"So, we ask the President and DPR RI to reconsider the existence of the project in favor of the interests of fishermen and the environmental ecosystem," he said.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) emphasized that the existence of a concrete fence on the coast of Cilincing, North Jakarta, did not violate the rules.

The Director General of Marine and Fishery Resources Supervision (PSDKP) of the KKP Pung Nugroho Saksono or Ipunk said that the construction of the concrete embankment, which is a reclamation project of PT Karya Citra Nusantara (KCN), has obtained an official permit in the form of approval for the suitability of sea space utilization activities (PKKPRL).

"That's for the port pool, so that it breaks water if I'm not mistaken. So, it's not going anywhere, it's. He has a port area and we saw that there was a PKKPRL limit yesterday. Try to explain, he is still in it, when the line is right," said Ipunk to reporters at the KKP office, Jakarta, Monday, September 15.

According to Ipunk, when he issued the PKKPRL permit, his party had conducted a study related to the environmental impact analysis aspect, aka Amdal.

"It must have been (a study was carried out), the KKP was impossible (to issue a permit) without an amdal. On the one hand, right, it was from 2004 the implementation. Right, it was built for ports, investigating ponds," he said.
