JAKARTA - The family of a young diplomat from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) of the late Arya Daru Pangayunan (ADP) submitted a request for protection to the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK), after experiencing a number of irregularities.

Deputy Chairperson of LPSK, Susilaningtias confirmed that Arya Daru's family had submitted a request for protection to his party.

"It is true that there have been six requests for protection from the family of the late ADP," said Deputy Chairperson of LPSK, Susilaningtias, Thursday, December 11.

The application, said Susilaningtias, was submitted by Arya Daru's family to the LPSK at the end of August 2025 and is currently still in the file verification stage.

"We are still verifying the administrative documents or reviews," he said.

He assessed that the application for protection submitted by the family of this young Foreign Ministry diplomat was not without reason because the family conveyed a number of irregularities.

They claimed to have received strange symbols in the form of stars, heart, and Cambodian flowers during recitation events.

"Regarding irregularities, it was also conveyed to LPSK that there were parties who sent messages through symbols that were not understood," he said.

In addition, he continued, the family said that the flowers on the deceased's grave were said to have been replaced by unknown parties.

"When it comes to deeper reasons, it is better to go to their attorneys. But what is conveyed to LPSK is that the hope is that with the protection of LPSK, it can strengthen the family and their attorneys to be able to reveal the death of the late ADP as a whole," he said.

As is known, young diplomat of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Arya Daru Pangayunan (ADP) was found dead with his head wrapped in duct tape at the house of Kost Guest House Gondia room 105, Jalan Gondangdia Kecil Number 22, Cikini Village, Menteng District, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday, July 8, at around 08.10 WIB.

The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police concluded that ADP's death was without other people's involvement. The conclusion is based on the results of an investigation conducted by investigators involving several experts.

The police also did not find any harmful substances in the toxicology examination on ADP's body, while the National Police Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) stated that no DNA and fingerprints other than the ADP's at the location of the body were found.

However, Arya Daru's family through their attorneys admitted that they were not satisfied with the disclosures that had been made by the Polda Metro Jaya regarding the death of Arya Daru Pangayunan.

"We are currently asking RDP to Commission III. Already (sending letters), God willing, we will soon be summoned by RDP Commission III," said Marwan Iswandi, attorney for the victim's family, Arya Daru, when contacted, Wednesday, September 10, 2025.

In addition to waiting for RDP in Commission III, the families of the victims Arya Daru and his attorneys will also hold hearings to a number of related agencies.

Not quite there, Arya Daru's family also made a report to the TNI Puspom because he suspected that there was involvement of individuals in this case.
