Gerindra Rahayu Saraswati's Resignation Process From The DPR

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto's nephew, Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo, was deactivated by the Gerindra Party faction as a member of the DPR after resigning.

Secretary of the Gerindra faction of the DPR Bambang Haryadi emphasized that his party respects the decision. According to him, his party will process Saraswati's resignation in accordance with the provisions of the applicable legislation.

"While waiting for the process, sister Sara (Rahayu Saraswati's nickname) will be deactivated from the DPR," said Bambang in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 10.

He explained that the administrative process related to Sara's decision would be carried out through a mechanism regulated in the applicable law and the Gerindra faction would also coordinate with the Gerindra Party DPP.

Previously, Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo who is also Deputy Chairman of Commission VII DPR declared her resignation as a member of the DPR because she understood that there was an expression some time ago that was considered to have hurt many parties.

He also apologized profusely for his words and mistakes. Meanwhile, he declared his resignation as a member of the DPR through his Instagram account @rahayusaraswati.

"With this, I declare my resignation as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives to the Gerindra Party faction," said Sara.
