JAKARTA - The cable belonging to PT PLN (Persero) on Jalan Kemang Selatan, Bangka, South Jakarta has caught fire again. The incident was recorded twice.

Head of the South Jakarta BPBD Task Force (Kasatgas) Sukendar explained that the cable fire on Jalan Kemang Selatan was caused by an electrical short circuit.

"The cause of the PLN cable fire at the pole is suspected to be an electrical short," said Sukendar, ANTARA, Tuesday, September 9.

It is known that the cable on Jalan Kemang Selatan caught fire twice, namely on Monday night, September 8 at 19.20 WIB and Tuesday morning at 09.32 WIB.

On Tuesday, it was stated that there were no casualties or losses caused by the cable fire.

Meanwhile, the South Jakarta Highways Sub-dept. (Sudin Bina Marga South Jakarta) helped to deal with burning power lines in the Kemang area.

"We are only helping with the handling, because it is PLN's assets," said Head of the South Jakarta Highways Sub-dept. Rifki Rismal when contacted in Jakarta, Tuesday.

Rifki confirmed that the incident was indeed a power cable belonging to PLN that caught fire.
