JAKARTA - President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said Egypt has prepared a comprehensive plan for reconstruction in the Gaza Strip, Palestine, strongly criticizing the continued Israeli aggression on the enclave.
President Sisi made this statement while attending the virtual BRICS Summit held on Monday, emphasizing the plan to rebuild Gaza without displacing its citizens.
"Egypt has prepared a comprehensive plan for the early recovery and reconstruction of Gaza, which has received Arab and Islamic approval and broad support from international partners. This plan has proven beyond doubt that rebuilding the Gaza Strip is possible while Palestinians remain on their land," President Sisi said, as reported by WAFA on September 9.
"Egypt also intends, immediately after the ceasefire agreement is reached, to organize an international conference for the reconstruction of Gaza, in cooperation with the Palestinian Authority and the United Nations, to mobilize the necessary support and funding to implement this ambitious plan," he added.
President Sisi also criticized Israel's unrelenting genocidal aggression in Gaza, which has so far killed 64,522 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured at least 163,096.
"Israel has carried out the most heinous forms of murder and terror, using starvation and the denial of healthcare as weapons against civilians. This has led to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, leading the United Nations to declare a state of famine in the Gaza Strip," President Sisi condemned.
"It continues to expand its military operations to destroy the foundations of life, with the aim of forcing Palestinians from their land, implementing forced displacement plans, and liquidating their legitimate goals," he stressed.
"Egypt's firm stance firmly rejects any scenario aimed at displacing Palestinians from their land, under any pretext, as it signifies an attempt to liquidate the Palestinian cause, suppress the two-state solution, escalate the conflict, and jeopardize the peace process in the Middle East," President Sisi stressed.

He added, "Cairo's full condemnation and rejection of attempts to impose Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank" and new colonial development plans "aimed at changing the legal and demographic status of the occupied Palestinian territories and imposing a fait accompli that undermines the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state."
President Sisi also called on BRICS member states to "support continued efforts to revive the two-state solution and recognize the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state, along the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, thereby strengthening peace and stability in the Middle East and the world at large, in a just and sustainable manner."
