The West Sulawesi Regional Police have designed a collaborative surveillance system that involves a number of stakeholders by combining field vision methods and information technology-based applications (IT) on the supervision of the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program.

West Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Adi Deriyan Jayamarta in Mamuju, Saturday, expressed his support for the program.

"We, together with stakeholders in West Sulawesi, will continue to support government policies, especially President Prabowo Subianto's program in fulfilling the nutrition of the nation's children," he said.

This innovative program is designed to facilitate relevant agencies in supervising the distribution of MBG.

With this application, the Nutrition Provider Unit (SPPG) can send daily reports related to the process of preparing food, shipping, and cooked menus.

The report can be monitored directly by related parties, thus facilitating evaluation and providing space for input if obstacles are found in the field.

A number of agencies were involved in this monitoring system, including the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM), the Education Office, the Health Service, the Transportation Service and the police.

"This synergy is expected to be able to strengthen transparency, accountability and effectiveness in the distribution of MBG to beneficiaries," he said.

This breakthrough, he continued, is also a commitment of the West Sulawesi Regional Police in overseeing national strategic programs in the regions, by ensuring that supervision of the distribution of nutritious food is carried out more effectively, modernly and integrated, for the sake of realizing the welfare of the community.

"With this collaborative monitoring system, we want to ensure that the MBG program in West Sulawesi runs smoothly, transparently and on target. We hope that together, the beneficiary children will truly get balanced nutrition to grow into a smart and healthy generation," he explained.

The MBG program, which is a strategic initiative of the National Nutrition Agency in accordance with the mandate of Presidential Regulation Number 83 of 2024, is aimed at fulfilling nutrition and nutrition education for students and non-students in order to realize the 2045 Golden Generation.

This program is also part of the Quick Wins Governor and Deputy Governor of West Sulawesi in the framework of West Sulawesi Sehat towards improving the quality of public health and developing superior human resources in order to realize West Sulawesi advanced and prosperous.
