NasDem Make Sure To Improve After Sahroni And Nafa Urbach Are Publicly Highlighted

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives from the NasDem faction, Saan Mustopa, ensured that his party would continue to improve after two members of his DPR, Ahmad Sahroni and Nafa Urbach, were publicly highlighted because of their statement which was considered nirempati in the midst of the current nation's situation. According to Saan, this improvement will be carried out so that similar incidents do not happen again.

"Yes, if the party is committed to continuing to improve and I think all parties will continue to carry out the reform process," said Saan at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Wednesday, September 3.

It is known, Ahmad Sahroni said the people were 'tolels' while Nafa revealed that the allowance for the house was natural because the distance of his residence to the DPR building was far away and often hampered by traffic jams. Their statements then sparked public anger amid the announcement of an increase in salaries and allowances for members of the DPR RI.

The Deputy NasDem also said that his party is also committed to eliminating transactional politics which is considered to be the source of choosing an incompetent member of the DPR. However, he asked the public to do the same.

"That must be a joint commitment, so it's not only parties that are required to be the people. That's why it's also important that the political education process for the community is also for actors, because the election is clean, fair, it's not only the organizers, not only political party participants, but the community is also important to get education about the election," said Saan.

"How to find a leader who is not born from a transactional process, not born from a foodbuying process, not born from the dawn attack process. So if all of this awareness grows, we will get a good election process. NasDem has a commitment," he continued.

Saan also ensured that the NasDem DPP would summon Sahroni and Nafa to be asked for clarification and accountability. Meanwhile, said Saan, the party has just issued a policy of deactivating the person concerned.

"Yes, of course we will call all of them. So, if we ask for clarification and so on, it is important that we do it, that's why we enter the stage in the non-active and next we ask for facilities for him not to be given either," concluded Saan.
