DPRD Meeting, Astrid Kuya Tells Many School Children Join The Looting Of Their Houses

JAKARTA - Member of Commission E of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Astrid shared the experience of her house being looted by the masses during the demonstration that led to riots some time ago.

In a meeting at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, the wife of a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Uya Kuya, admitted that she saw many school-age children who took part in looting at her residence.

"My personal experience, during the riots, looting, many children who go to high school, who follow or participate," Astrid said at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Wednesday, September 3.

Therefore, in the meeting of the Special Committee (Pansus) of the Raperda for the Implementation of Education in the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Astrid assessed the need to deepen the religious education of students at Jakarta schools.

"Honestly, according to my experience, these children must have a religious basis that must be strengthened. Their character must be strengthened," said Astrid.

"So it is true that the basic character and religion of these children must be strengthened once. So in my opinion, input into the culinary, it is mandatory in nature, children must follow, so that the building character is formed, and religion is formed," he continued.

For information, a number of houses of members of the Indonesian House of Representatives were raided by the masses on August 30. After Ahmad Sahroni's house, the house of a member of the House of Representatives and artist Uya Kuya was targeted.

His house, which is located in the Pondok Bambu area, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, was broken into. In a viral video recording on social media, the fence of Uya Kuya's house appears to have been broken into by the masses.

They flocked in and looted various valuables from inside the house. To the extent that Uya Kuya's pet, her favorite cat, which costs tens of millions, was also transported by the masses.

Currently, the East Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim is still conducting a marathon investigation regarding the case of looting at Uya Kuya's house.

In addition to determining 6 suspects, the police are also still investigating 1 person related to looting. Meanwhile, more than 3 other witnesses have also been examined.
