It Was Revealed That The Figure Of The Ojol Driver Who Met The Vice President At The Palace, The Original Driver, Has Been Registered Since 2015

The identity of the online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) who was present at the ojol representative meeting with Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka at the Vice President's Palace, was finally revealed. Met in the Cipinang area, East Jakarta, Rahman Thohir admitted that he was one of eight ojol drivers who got the opportunity to have a dialogue with the vice president. In front of the media crew, Rahman explained that he was an ojol driver from Gojek.

"I joined Gojek from 2015, so I am a real driver. I received education and law degree at the University of August 17, 1945," Rahman told the media, Wednesday, September 3.

In addition, Rahman also assessed that there is injustice in the narrative that is developing on social media today. According to him, do not discredit ojol drivers just because they have the ability to speak well in public.

"The narrative circulating now seems as if we have no right to use intellectual words such as escalation or education. It should be noted that these ojol drivers are not only people who graduated from Elementary School (SD), Junior High School (SMP) or High School (SMA), but there are also many who are graduates of Strata 1 (S1) and Strata 2 (S2)," said Rachman.

After meeting a number of ojol drivers with the vice president on Saturday, August 31, a number of narratives appeared on social media that said the drivers who attended did not represent certain ojol communities. There are even accusations that they are intelligence, because they use terms that are closely related to the military world.

"Regarding the use of words such as cadets, it is commonplace in the world of promotion. This cadet shows that one member of the community does not have a position. So it is called by community leaders as cadets, not because it is related to military or certain institutions," explained Rahman.
