TARAKAN - Thousands of masses of the Northern Alliance are still surrounding the Tarakan DPRD Office, North Kalimantan (Kaltara) until the evening, Monday (1/9/2025) The situation, which has been heating up since the afternoon, is getting out of control.

The masses who are members of the Northern Alliance continue to hold demonstrations, the authorities are still closely guarding the mass action since this afternoon.

Observations in the mass field had knocked down the iron fence of the Tarakan City DPRD office, additional personnel to close the gap, especially at the iron fence point which had previously been crushed by the masses.

Previously, mass tensions with the authorities had been suppressed and the situation returned to conducive after representatives of Tarakan DPRD members came out to meet the masses.

During the mediation moment, several mass representatives seemed to sit down together and sign the document as a symbol of their communication and seriousness in expressing their aspirations.

The chairman of the Tarakan DPRD, Muhammad Yunus, expressed his readiness to continue the aspirations to the DPR-RI, especially through three members of the DPR from the North Kalimantan Dapil, Dedy Sitorus, Rahmawati, and Hasan Saleh.

However, the answer from the chairman of the Tarakan City DPRD did not stop the mass action, which is still ongoing.
