President Prabowo Affirms His Program Is Focused On Defending Small People

JAKARTA President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that all government programs he runs are oriented towards the interests of the small people. He called his struggle as head of state to ensure that the weak and poor get the main attention.

"All of my programs defend the little people. I have gathered big businessmen. I say, you are important, you created jobs. But my job is to take care of the poorest," said President Prabowo at the Police Hospital, Kramat Jati, Jakarta, when visiting injured member victims during the demonstration security, Monday, September 1.

President Prabowo emphasized that the results of these programs have begun to be seen. However, he assessed that there are still groups who want to disrupt the situation and hinder development. "Some come from outside the region, want to burn, damage, create people's anger. It's not an aspiration, but an act that harms the people," he said.

According to him, riots will only hinder the government's efforts to reduce poverty. Our government is fighting hard to defend the small people. We must not let rioters interfere with national development," he said.
