JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri admitted that his party had pocketed the identity of the perpetrators of the destruction of buildings and public facilities as well as the perpetrators of looting carried out in a series of demonstrations in the last few days.
This was revealed by Asep after a coordination meeting of the DKI Jakarta Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) with the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung and the Pangdam Jaya Maj. Gen. Deddy Suryadi.
"For those who carry out acts of vandalism or looting, we have detected them, we are just waiting, we will take firm action, arrest," said Asep at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, September 1.
However, Asep admitted that the Polda Metro Jaya still could not reveal who or the number of perpetrators of vandalism.
"We will convey the number later because it is technical, because our team is still working and hopefully in the future this situation will remain conducive," said Asep.
