5 People Arrested When Gegana Headquarters Burns

A number of people were arrested when the Gegana Headquarters on Jalan Kramat Raya, Senen District, Central Jakarta, caught fire. They were arrested because they were inside the Gegana Polri logistics building area during the fire.

"It's true, five people were arrested," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Roby Heri Saputra when confirmed by VOI, Monday, September 1, 2025.

Then the five people were arrested from Gegana Headquarters in front of Pertamina's office for brief questioning.

For further investigation, the five were taken to the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters.

"(The case) was handled by the Regional Police," he said.

The case is now being handled by the Crime Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya.

Previously, it was reported that the Gegana Headquarters building on Jalan Kramat Raya, Senen, Central Jakarta, caught fire again on Sunday, August 31, 2025, afternoon.

The fire broke out at around 16.30 WIB. From VOI's observation at the location, there were no fire engines at the fire site. While the flames emerged from the main building on the front.

The fire incident caused black smoke that soared high in the air in the Jalan Kramat Raya area, Senen.

The fire was allegedly burned by an unknown person (OTK). The reason is that before it caught fire, a number of people were seen looting the remains of goods in the Gegana building.
