Minister Of Hajj-Wamenaker Could Be The Entrance To Cabinet Reshuffle

JAKARTA Political communication expert at Esa Unggul University, Jamiluddin Ritonga predicts that President Prabowo Subianto will carry out a reshuffle or reshuffle of the Red and White Cabinet in the near future.

"My estimate is that President Prabowo Subianto will soon reshuffle his assistants in the Red and White Cabinet," he said, Sunday, August 31, 2025.

According to him, there are several indicators that strengthen the possibility of President Prabowo immediately implementing a cabinet reshuffle. First, the revision of the Law on the Implementation of Hajj and Umrah (RUU PIHU) has been jointly ratified by the DPR and the government.

Meanwhile, one rule that emerged from the PIHU Bill was the obligation to form the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

The president will automatically appoint the main officials to hold positions at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. Adding one minister by itself needs to be reshuffled," he said.

The second indicator, Prabowo, has fired Deputy Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer after being hit by the KPK OTT.

Thus, President Prabowo needs to immediately appoint a replacement for Noel, Immanuel Ebenezer's nickname for Wamenaker's position.

"Wamenaker needs to be determined immediately, because this ministry needs to immediately improve its performance, especially now that layoffs are happening everywhere," said Jamil.

Jamil assessed that filling positions in the two ministries could be the entry point for President Prabowo to carry out reshuffles in other ministries that were considered poor performance.
