Police Examine 3 Student Witnesses Of Hansip Hand Stabbing In Petojo, Central Jakarta

JAKARTA - The Gambir Metro Police conducted an investigation regarding the stabbing that was experienced by an hansip officer on Jalan KH. Hasyim Ashari, South Petojo, Central Jakarta, some time ago.

As many as three teenagers are suspected of being involved in a brawl at the time of the incident, they are still being questioned. The three teenagers are still witnesses.

The three witnesses who are still being examined have the initials FH (17) and MAF (17) SMK students. Meanwhile, the teenager with the initials MTAF (17) is a high school student.

Of the three witnesses, two of them with the initials MAF and MTAF are admin accounts @Badhabits.kids.

The @Badhabits.kids account is social media that is active in brawls.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Gambir Metro Police, Kompol Dimmas Adhit Putranto, said that the three teenagers were still witnesses and currently they are still investigating their respective roles.

"The motive for this incident is a dispute between groups of teenagers that was triggered through social media," said Kompol Dimmas when confirmed, Wednesday, August 27, 2025.

Furthermore, Kanit said, they challenged each other until they finally met and made a fuss in public places.

"We are currently tracing digital traces and collecting other evidence, including CCTV footage around the location. Social media accounts are also being analyzed with the IT team," he said.

The confiscated evidence includes CCTV footage from the scene, data and communication from the Instagram accounts @Original016angke and @Badhabits.kids as well as statements from witnesses.

"This case is still under investigation, and no one has been named a suspect. The police are still developing information regarding the possible involvement of other parties," he said.

Until now, the investigation continues. The police have opened the possibility of additional witnesses or developing legal status depending on the results of further examinations.

Mahmudim (43), an hansip RW 05, North Petojo Village, Gambir District, Central Jakarta, was slashed by the perpetrators of the brawl while trying to break up the commotion.

The incident occurred on Jalan KH Hasyim Ashari, North Petojo, Gambir, Central Jakarta around July 2025.

At that time, the victim was on guard at the security post to ensure the children did not leave the house and prevented residents from being involved in the brawl.

However, a group of youths suspected of being motorcycle gangs amounted to around 20'30 vehicles passing at the location.

The victim had prevented the group from stopping and the brawl did not happen. Suddenly, one of the perpetrators attacked from behind with a sharp weapon.

According to the victim's brother, Syaban, at the time of the incident he should have been hit by a sharp weapon. But the victim's younger brother tried to fend off him.

"I should have had my head slashed, but my sister blocked it so it hit his hand. The wound was deep enough," he told reporters, Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

Residents rushed the victim to Tarakan Hospital for treatment.

After undergoing surgery to connect, the wound on his hand actually worsened and black spots appeared due to a broken blood vessel.
