NTB Police Ask Bareskrim Retas Mobile Brigadier Esco To Reveal Mysterious Death

The NTB Police requested assistance from the National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) to hack into Brigadier Esco Faska Rely's cell phone, which was found dead on the slopes of Jembatan Jembakan Village, West Lombok Regency.

Director of General Criminal Investigation of the NTB Police, Kombes Syarif Hidayat, said that Brigadier Esco's cellphone was one of the important pieces of evidence that was secured from the location where the body was found.

"(The cellphone) is in the process of going to the Criminal Investigation Unit because it is locked and no one knows the key, including the victim's wife," said Syarif in Mataram, Antara, Tuesday, August 26.

According to him, the examination of Brigadier Esco's cellphone is important to trace traces of communication that may be related to his death.

The police previously bagged the autopsy results from Bhayangkara Hospital, Mataram. The forensic team of doctors found indications of violence on the victim's neck which led to allegations of abuse that resulted in Brigadier Esco's death.

The body of Brigadier Esco was first found by residents on Sunday, August 24 at around 11.30 WITA. He was found supine to his neck tied with a rope under a hilly tree in Nyiur Lembang Dalem Hamlet, Jembatan Jembatan Village.

Information on the findings of the bodies quickly spread to the public to the police. The police then evacuated the bodies and conducted a crime scene investigation.

The identity of Brigadier Esco is confirmed from the clothes he wears and a number of his personal items, such as cell phones, watches, and motorcycle keys in his trouser pocket.
