The Thief Who Acted With A Toy Gun At PIK Was Arrested By The Police

North Jakarta Metro Police arrested two thieves who used a toy gun to scare residents when they took action in the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) area of Penjaringan District on Friday (22/8).

"These two perpetrators have been arrested in the PIK Penjaringan area on Friday night and currently the case is being handled by the Penjaringan Metro Police," said the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasat Reskrim) of the North Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Onkoseno GS, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, August 23.

The two perpetrators carried out the theft by weighting a black car on Friday at around 18.00 WIB in the PIK area.

Initially, the victim parked his car at the crime scene (TKP), then the victim received information that his car mirror had been stolen by an unknown person.

For this incident, the victim suffered losses and reported to the Penjaringan metro police, North Jakarta (Jakut).

Then on the same day at 20.00 WIB, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Penjaringan Metro Police through Subnit V Mobile Investigation (Resmob) together with security forces or security guards checked the scene.

Police officers arrested the two perpetrators who were still at the same location.

"The two perpetrators admitted their actions and were taken to the Penjaringan Metro Police," he said.

Officers secured a number of evidences, including one stolen rearview mirror, a motorbike, a gas lighter cell phone in the form of a toy gun.

Then a bag, small wallet, car registration and monitoring camera footage near the scene.

"Furthermore, the perpetrators along with the evidence were brought to the North Jakarta Penjaringan Metro Police Headquarters for further investigation," he said.
