Ministry Of Health Pockets Evidence Of 733 Complete Bullying Complaints With A Series Of Evidence

Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin said his party held evidence of bullying from 733 confirmed complaints as bullying either in hospitals under the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) or under its authority.

Minister of Health Budi Gunadi explained that his party received 2,920 complaints on the Ministry of Health's report channel until August 15, 2025.

Of these, 733 cases were confirmed as bullying based on the Instruction of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia HK.02.01/Menkes/589/2025 concerning Prevention and Handling of Bullying for Students at Education Hospitals within the Ministry of Health. Bullying categories include physical bullying, verbal bullying, cyber bullying and other non-physical and non-verbal bullying.

"Until there is billions of money that must be spent by students outside of official fees and this is probably 60 to 70 percent of the cases that confirmed 733, this is proof that the flow of funds is very clear," said the Minister of Health as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 22.

The large amount of money is used to buy goods, order hotels, tickets and cars that are not related to specialist doctor educational activities.

"That's all we have evidence for the 733 cases we hold," he said.

He also explained a number of examples of physical bullying that were already equipped with photos of participants in the Specialist Doctors Education Program (PPDS) who reported physical activities that were not related to education. There are also evidences of verbal violence in various pieces of text application talks.

"This is consistent in almost all the bullying that has been proven in 733, animal words and hate speech are often conveyed," he said.

He stressed the importance of preventing similar cases from happening again, which requires coordination of relevant stakeholders.

Of the 773 confirmed cases of bullying, 433 of them were in hospitals under the Ministry of Health, 184 in other hospitals, 82 at the Faculty of Medicine, and the rest were still not obtained information on where the bullying occurred.

For 433 cases of bullying that occurred at the Ministry of Health Hospital, 124 complaints have been handled and 98 people involved have been subject to sanctions.
