Nearly 80 Tons Of Garbage Was Produced During The Series Of Indonesian 80th Anniversary At Monas And Sudirman-Thamrin

The Jakarta Provincial Environment Agency collected nearly 80 tons of garbage during a series of celebrations of the 80th Indonesian Independence Day (doc. DKI Jakarta Provincial Government).

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Provincial Environment Agency cleaned nearly 80 tons or about 79.29 tons of garbage during a series of RI's 80th Anniversary celebrations in the Monas and Sudirman-Thamrin areas. The process runs until 03.00 WIB.

"Handling the cleanliness of the event starting from the RI 80th Anniversary Ceremony to the People's Party in the Monas area, HI Roundabout, and along the Jalan Jenderal Sudirman-Thamrin carried out until 03.00 WIB."

"The total volume of waste is 360 cubic meters or the equivalent of 79.29 tons of waste," said Head of the Jakarta Environment Agency, Asep Kuswanto, when contacted, Monday, August 18, 2025.

The cleaning was carried out by officers from five administrative city areas. The activity was led directly by the Head of the Jakarta Environment Agency, Asep Kuswanto, along with the head of the LH service tribe in each region.

"There are 1,800 personnel. With details from Central Jakarta 400; North Jakarta 200; East Jakarta 200; South Jakarta 200; West Jakarta 200; UPST 100; and UPS Water Agency 500," said Asep.

Furthermore, this waste was then transported by 12 inorganic trucks; 10 mini dump trucks or cross cars; 12 truck compactors; 14 road sweepers; and 40 units ofdust bins.

Then, the Government has also provided 10 toilet cars. This facility is placed at Monas, HI Roundabout area, Sumenep Park, and Dukuh Atas.
