The National Police Holds An Independent Operation Preparedness Ceremony 2025 Tomorrow

The National Police held an assembly to hold the Merdeka Jaya Operations Force 2025 on Saturday (16/8) at the Senayan East Parking, South Jakarta, to ensure the readiness of personnel who will secure the celebration of the 80th Indonesian Independence Day.

"This deployment of troops is a form of preparedness and commitment of all personnel who will serve in the 2025 Merdeka Jaya Operation," said Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karopenmas) of the National Police's Divhumas Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko.

Trunoyudo explained that the Merdeka Jaya Operation 2025 was a centralized police operation that lasted for three days, namely on August 16, 2025.

This operation, he said, was carried out with the aim of ensuring smoothness and ensuring the safety and security of the entire series of community activities in commemoration of the 80th Indonesian Independence Day.

The operation was held in the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya.

"This operation involves personnel from the National Police Headquarters, Polda Metro Jaya, and is supported by various relevant agencies, including other stakeholders," he said.

According to Trunoyudo, with cross-institutional synergy and careful planning, the Bhayangkara Corps emphasized its readiness to oversee and secure the entire agenda of celebrating independence.

"This is a form of Polri's dedication to ensure that all people can celebrate the 80th Indonesian Independence Day in a safe, comfortable and peaceful atmosphere," he said.

Previously, the Head of the Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the National Police, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, said that the National Police Headquarters together with Polda Metro Jaya had deployed as many as 7,000 joint personnel to secure the celebration of the 80th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence in Jakarta.

"For personnel, we have prepared nearly 7,000, including reserve personnel," he said.

Thousands of these personnel, he said, would be deployed to secure a series of activities in various locations, including security on the VVIP route, guest lines, and people's parties.
