JAKARTA - The 2025 Annual Session of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) is scheduled for Friday, August 15th. This year, the MPR's annual session has been moved forward one day because August 16th falls on a holiday.

This event is part of a series of events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia and will be attended by President Prabowo Subianto, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, previous presidents and vice presidents, and national figures.

The 2025 MPR annual session will discuss the development of the Principles of State Policy (PPHN), which has been finalized by the MPR team.

MPR Speaker Ahmad Muzani explained that the president requested that the PPHN be reviewed and refined before deciding on the appropriate legal product for its implementation.

It is hoped that the PPHN can become a long-term development direction that ensures continuity between government periods.

However, the Secretary General of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), Siti Fauziah, stated that the PPHN (National Provisions and Regulations) would not be read at this session. The President will further study the document before resubmitting it to the MPR.

"No (it will be read). If there is any follow-up to the PPHN, it will still be reported to the President. So, the President is still studying it, and then any further details will be submitted to the MPR," said Siti Fauziah, as quoted by Antara on Thursday, August 14.

Referring to the list obtained by the MPR/DPR RI, the following is the agenda for the 2025 MPR/DPR RI annual session:

• 9:00 a.m. - 9:05 a.m.: Singing of the National Anthem "Indonesia Raya."
• 9:05 a.m. - 9:08 a.m.: Moment of silence led by the Speaker of the MPR RI.
• 9:08 AM - 9:36 AM WIB: Opening of the 2025 MPR RI annual session and the joint session of the DPR RI and the Regional Representative Council (DPD RI) by the Speaker of the MPR RI, followed by a prayer and introductory speech for the 2025 MPR RI annual session.
• 9:36 AM - 9:56 AM WIB: Introductory speech for the 2025 DPR RI and DPD RI joint session by the Speaker of the DPR RI.
• 9:56 AM - 10:00 AM WIB: Video screening of the achievements of the Indonesian president's leadership.
• 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM WIB: Speech by the President of the Republic of Indonesia on the presentation of the performance report of state institutions and the state address commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

• 2:35 PM - 2:42 PM: Opening of the plenary session by the Speaker of the House of Representatives and recitation of a prayer.
• 2:42 PM - 2:57 PM: Speech by the Speaker of the House of Representatives at the opening of the 2025-2026 session period.
• 2:57 PM - 3:42 PM: State Address by the President of the Republic of Indonesia regarding the 2026 State Budget Bill and financial notes.
• 3:42 PM WIB - 3:57 PM WIB: Submission of the 2026 State Budget Bill and financial notes from the president to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and signing of the minutes.
• 3:57 PM WIB - 4:02 PM WIB: Closing of the plenary session by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
• 4:02 PM WIB - 4:07 PM WIB: The national anthem Indonesia Raya.
• 4:07 PM WIB: The plenary session concludes, and the president and vice president leave the session room.
