Ahead Of The 80th Anniversary Of The Republic Of Indonesia, Friday Morning Prabowo Delivered A State Speech At The 2025 MPR Annual Session

JAKARTA - Ahead of the commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence, President Prabowo Subianto attended the 2025 MPR Annual Session at the DPR/MPR RI Building, Jakarta, Friday, August 15, to deliver a state speech as well as a government performance report, to explain the quick work program for the last 10 months, and to deliver the 2026 State Budget Draft in front of members of the DPR and DPD.

The series of annual session events will begin at 09.00 WIB, starting with the opening ceremony, a moment of silence, an introductory speech from the Chairperson of the MPR RI Ahmad Muzani and the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, as well as a video broadcast of the Presidential leadership achievements.

After delivering President Prabowo's state speech, the Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, will continue the agenda of the annual session, to be interspersed with the offerings of Indonesian songs, before being officially closed.

The Indonesian government has rolled out a number of quick jobs programs in the last 10 months, including Free Nutrition Food in schools, Free Health Checks, regional hospital construction, TB completion, school renovations, national food barns, to various social and business assistance.

Presiden Prabowo juga telah meluncurkan program Sekolah Rakyat, Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih, dan pembangunan 3 juta rumah.

In the economic sector, the government has removed debt from MSMEs worth trillions of rupiah, while in the infrastructure sector it is accelerated the construction of dams, irrigation, schools, roads, and other strategic projects.

The Annual Session and Joint Session of the DPR RI and DPD RI 2025 will be held ahead of the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia with the theme "United Sovereign, People of Prosperous, Advanced Indonesia".

After the MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session, Prabowo will deliver his second state speech before the DPR RI Plenary Meeting at 14.30 WIB.

The Head of State is scheduled to submit an introduction to the 2026 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget Draft (RAPBN).

In accordance with the guidelines for commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia issued by the Minister of State Secretary on August 12, 2025, all government agencies, the private sector, and the public are advised to watch live broadcasts of the two speeches through various channels, including radio, television, YouTube, and other broadcast platforms.
