JAKARTA - The Ministry of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (KemenP2MI) received booty from the state of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in the form of land and buildings in the Lampung area. The booty will also be used as a Migrant Center.

Meanwhile, the handover was marked by the signing of a grant report between P2MI Minister Abdul Kadir Karding and KPK Deputy Chair Ibnu Basuki Widodo at the KemenP2MI Office, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 14. .

The assets were handed over to the Ministry of P2MI, which is located in Lampung with a land area of 860 square meters with a building. We will use this asset for efforts to build infrastructure, especially the migrant center used for training or temporarily we use it for shelters to use as well as possible for the protection of Indonesian migrant jobs," said Minister Karding.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Ibnu Basuki Widodo, explained that the mechanism for handing over confiscated state assets that have legal force will still be executed for auction or can be submitted to ministries or government agencies for use.

"So the result of the confiscation of corruption is that after obtaining a decision from the court or the important high court of the district court or the Supreme Court has started legal force to be executed," he said.

"We have handed over to the Ministry of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers as mentioned by the Minister, house or land and building worth approximately Rp. 3 billion," continued Ibnu.

Ibnu said that the handover of assets to the Ministry of P2MI is one of the follow-up to returning state losses so that these assets can provide benefits to the community.

"We submit that, the name has been executed. The execution was given to other agencies that submitted the KPK application and application to be forwarded to the Minister of Finance. The Minister of Finance gave a determination of his name PSB," said Ibnu.
