JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung plans to open the Ragunan Wildlife Park for residents to visit at night. The concept of zoo tourism tonight has been implemented in Safari Park, Cisarua, Bogor.

This was revealed by Pramono after traveling around Ragunan and visiting a number of animal collections, ranging from giraffes, complicated birds, tigers, gorillas, and so on.

"For the Ragunan Wildlife, I really want to fix it. I'm still thinking whether it's time to make Ragunan, not only during the day, but also at night," said Pramono at Ragunan Wildlife Park, South Jakarta, Thursday, August 14.

If Ragunan's night tour is operated, Pramono believes that Jakarta residents no longer need to travel to zoos at long distances like Safari Park.

"The place is better than Safari. Even closer and people don't need to stick to the top. So, thus making choices for Jakarta residents to enjoy it more and more," said Pramono.

The plan is for the DKI Provincial Government to revitalize Ragunan Tourism Park. Pramono wants additional parking access for four-wheeled vehicles. Because, every weekend, Ragunan is always crowded with tourists.

"I ask to immediately prepare a multilevel parking for the car. Earlier, the motorbike already exists. So that way, in the near future we will definitely ban cars from being allowed to enter again," said Pramono.

If the parking access is adequate and the area in Ragunan is sterilized from private vehicles, Pramono assesses that there is a need for additional buses to take tourists around the cages that are kept there.

"Indeed, for an area of 127 hectares, buses that routinely go around to be able to people easily see the animals here. Because this place is for flora and fauna which I think is one of the best in Southeast Asia," he explained.
