JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung revealed that the number of residents who applied to become Jakarta firefighters in this recruitment has exploded. The firefighter recruitment process has been open since Tuesday, August 12 and will be closed today.

"The market on the first day, namely last Tuesday, the listing was 7,000. Yesterday the list rose to almost 9,000. So until yesterday it was 16,000, later at 4 pm we will close it," said Pramono at Ragunan Wildlife Park, South Jakarta, Thursday, August 14. .

In fact, the DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) only opened 1,000 formations of firefighters in this year's recruitment. Pramono predicts that until the registration period is closed, the number of applicants will reach 25 times the quota provided.

"As we expected, definitely for the quota of 1,000 firefighters, the listing may be 21-25 times the quota requirement. As of this morning, 20,000 (registrants) have been opened (on the last day) have added another 4,000. Even though at 4 o'clock it will be closed," said Pramono.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has officially opened the recruitment of DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) officers. Residents can start registering online or online via the www.jakarta.go.id/loop page. Then, open the registration page according to the intended city area.

Registration is valid for 3 days, from 12 to 14 August 2025. Then, the announcement of the results of the administrative evaluation on 15 August 2025.

Applicants who pass the administrative selection will undergo physical tests from August 26 to September 17, 2025.

Physical tests will be carried out by Kodam Jaya, located at Brigif 1/Jaya Sakti, Kalisari, East Jakarta. At this stage, applicants will undergo a physical fitness test A (run 12 minutes), freshness of Jasmani B (pull up, sit up, push up, shuttle run), posture (height and weight, body anatomy, appearance), and 25 meters of swimming.

After that, the DKI Gulkarmat Service will announce 1,000 applicants who passed the selection on September 18, 2025, followed by the signing of the work contract on October 1, 2025.
