Hamas Value Netanyahu's Statement Regarding "Israel Raya" Hazards Countries And Communities In The Region

JAKARTA - Palestinian militant group Hamas assessed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's remarks regarding the "Israel Raya vision" endangering countries and people in the region, demanding Arab countries take a clear position.

"These statements clearly emphasize the dangers that Israel poses to all countries and communities in the region," Hamas said in a statement on its telegram channel.

"These fascist statements require Arab countries to take a clear position, especially by taking serious steps to support our people in Palestine and the Gaza Strip," he continued.

Hamas also called on the international community to condemn the Israeli prime minister's statement and take steps to "end his brutal war" in the Palestinian territories.

The day before, Netanyahu said in an interview with TV channel I24, he was fulfilling a "historical and spiritual mission", feeling its connection with the concept of "Israel Raya."

The term "Israel Raya" comes after the 1967 Six Day War to refer to Israel and its newly occupied areas: East Jerusalem, the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Sinai Peninsula, and the Golan Heights.

"Israel Raya" is a term used in religious and political movements that advocates for the expansion of Israeli territory.
