Commission I Of The DPR Asks The Military Police To Reveal The Motives Of 20 Soldiers Persecuted To The Death Of Prada Lucky

Member of Commission I DPR RI TB Hasanuddin asked the Military Police to reveal the motives of 20 TNI soldiers who were named suspects in assaulting Prada Lucky Chepril Saputra Namo to death.

TB Hasanuddin said this case attracted attention because initially only four perpetrators were found, but later developed into 20 suspects. He also regretted that one of the perpetrators was a platoon commander who should have been able to protect his members.

"And more interestingly, it is the platoon commander. An officer with the rank of second Lieutenant, graduated from the Military Academy, maybe very young around 24-25 and so on, but was involved. This is what I regret," said TB Hasanuddin at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 12.

"Because of what? The commander was actually in the middle of the soldiers to supervise, control, and provide direction. That's why the officers of Lieutenant 1, Lieutenant 2 who were young, the youth officers had to live with soldiers in the barracks to monitor this. Not the other way around, instead they were involved in a crime together," continued the retired TNI.

Therefore, TB Hasanuddin asked the Military Police to pursue the perpetrators and reveal the motive behind the persecution between seniors and juniors within the TNI.

"And I asked the Military Police to try to pursue it. What is the real motive? What is the story like? The case. How come it was killed ?," said TB Hasanuddin.

"There may be no intention of killing. But it must be ensured, by being beaten by dozens of people, and of course the military's blow, which leads to deadly points, is dead. That's the first time," he continued.

TB Hasanuddin hopes that the TNI Commander, TNI General Agus Subiyanto and the Kodam Commander throughout Indonesia, will make a clue about a healthy relationship between seniors and juniors as they should be.

"There should be no arrogance. As I told you earlier, it's normal. After retiring, we will return to being ordinary people. Both seniors and juniors. So there must be clear clues as to what kind, attitude and treatment of seniors to juniors. Should provide examples, provide positive directions. That's my hope," he said.

Regarding whether Commission I of the DPR will summon the TNI Commander to discuss this case, TB Hasanuddin opens the possibility. As is known, the DPR RI will again convene after the joint trial on August 15.

"We just had a glimpse of the discussion in the group. Later when entering, after the 15th (August), there is usually a commission meeting, we will discuss it," he said.

"If (the meeting agenda, ed) is usually not one, maybe there are several agendas, and even after that agenda, people will be free to ask other questions," concluded TB Hasanuddin.
