DENPASAR - Bali Governor Wayan Koster passed the construction of a resort on Berawa Beach, Badung, because after being examined directly, it turned out that the permit was appropriate.

"So from the legal study it is appropriate, there is already a team, then the spatial planning is okay, the details of the spatial planning of Badung Regency are also okay, and the area is already a tourism area, indeed the tourism designation," said Koster, Monday, August 11.

On Sunday (10/8) the Bali Provincial Government carried out a surprise inspection or inspection at Berawa Beach, because in the midst of clean-up efforts against tourism buildings that violated PT Pantai Berawa Resort on Jalan Pantai Berawa Gang Kedaton, Tibubeneng Village, the resort construction was actually underway.

"That's a proposal from a third party for licensing to build a hotel, so I checked to make sure it was in accordance with the provincial spatial planning as well as the spatial planning of Badung Regency, the second is Amdal, the third is I want the position, the location is precisely where and the environment is," said Koster.

After searching for information to Berawa Beach, the Bali Provincial Government found that the construction of tourism accommodation was legal, even on the land that was being built in advance was a tourism business that changed hands to ownership and changed types of business.

The new owner will make a new hotel so that the old one is dismantled, so it's actually there, all the right left is the hotel, there's the Atlas club, there's the Finns, there's something else, the coastal border is also appropriate, nothing has been violated," said the Governor of Bali.

Wayan Koster finally passed the company to continue construction because it was just waiting for AMDAL's decision from the Ministry of Environment.

"So far there have been no violations, I want to make sure there are no violations, that's all, I don't need people to help A, person B, person C, if it complies with the rules, without anyone's support, we will pass," he said.

The village head of Tibubeneng I Made Kamajaya during the surprise inspection admitted that he was surprised because he did not receive information on the governor's planned arrival.

"With this direct step down, the Regent and Governor have extraordinary shock effect, and this is what we appreciate our leaders who went directly to the field," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

In fact, the village hopes that inspections will be carried out routinely by regional heads to suppress violations in the field that have an impact on Balinese society, environment, culture, arts and traditions. "So far, many (investors, ed) have followed the rules in the investment order, but in the field there are many violations, which in fact we in the village do not have enough power to control, and supervise, we are open to anyone including investors, but the keyword is how they are concerned with the environment," said Made Kamajaya.
