Police Arrest 3 Members Of The Manly Sidoarjo Group

SIDOARJO - Sidoarjo City Police (Polresta) arrested three men members of a Facebook social media network group who offered services for same-sex immoral acts.

"They are members of a Facebook group called Manly Sidoarjo, whose contents are same-sex men. Three people, namely AY, RM, and SM, are actively offering immoral acts to other group members," said Sidoarjo Police Chief Kombes Christian Tobing as reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 1.

According to him, from the examination of the same-sex group, it is known that this group consists of thousands of accounts containing immoral content, as well as various offers of same-sex immoral acts.

Tobing explained that the suspects admitted to joining the same-sex group in order to find new acquaintances who wanted to be invited to have same-sex relationships.

The three of them were actively involved in making indecent videos as well as sharing with fellow members of the group.

For their actions, the three perpetrators were charged with Article 45 paragraph (1) junto Article 27 paragraph (2) of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE), as well as Article 29 and Article 30 of Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography, with a maximum penalty of six years in prison and or a maximum fine of IDR 1 billion.
