Jealousy Is The Trigger! 3 Youths Who Throw Pekalongan Residents Into The Well Around The Wonotunggal Batang Market Arrested

Batang Resort Police, Central Java, uncovered a case of finding a body in a well and arresting three suspects suspected of being the perpetrators of the murder.

Batang Police Chief AKBP Edi Rahmat Mulyana said the case stemmed from the jealousy of the perpetrator with the initials AT (23) against his girlfriend, LLS (22), who received a message from the victim through social media.

"The suspect then replied to the victim's chat using the LLS social media account and asked to meet behind the Wonotunggal Market. The victim, who was not suspicious, then came to the location," said Edi in Batang, Antara, Monday, August 11.

During the meeting, AT also invited two of his colleagues. He challenged the victim, Ahmad Mughni Sodik (25), a resident of Pekalongan Regency, for a duel, while two of his friends were watching around.

The victim lost the fight and in weak condition, the suspect and his partner kicked Ahmad Mughni's body until he fainted.

"When the victim fainted, the three perpetrators panicked and decided to throw the victim into a well not far from the scene. To eliminate traces, the victim's motorbike and cell phone were taken away," said Edi.

According to Edi, who was accompanied by the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Imam Muhtadi, the case was revealed after the identity of the victim was discovered through an autopsy at the Batang Hospital. The police also tracked the victim's motorbike, which turned out to have been pawned by one of the perpetrators to residents.

Three suspects, namely AT alias Casmo (23) and Sgy (29) residents of Wonotunggal District, were arrested in their respective homes. Meanwhile, Yog (19), who is also a resident of Wonotunggal, was arrested in Bandung, West Java.

"Ketiga tersangka dijerat Pasal 338, 365, dan 170 KUHP dengan ancaman maksimal 15 tahun penjara. Saat ini para pelaku masih menjalani proses penyidikan," kata Edi.

"The three suspects were charged with Articles 338, 365, and 170 of the Criminal Code with a maximum threat of 15 years in prison. Currently, the perpetrators are still undergoing the investigation process," said Edi.
