Bantul Regency Government Strengthens Commitment To Becoming A Child-Friendly Regency

BANTUL - Bantul Regency Government, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), commemorates National Children's Day (HAN) 2025 through an event entitled "Siwi Bantul Ngrembaka, Kanggo Nuswantoro Raharjo", or which means Bantul Children Develop, For Nusantara Sejahtera.

This is a continuation of the Bantul Regency Government's commitment to protecting and fulfilling children's rights.

"The National Children's Day commemoration is not just an annual agenda, but a momentum to strengthen commitment to protecting and fulfilling children's rights, especially in Bantul," said Head of the Bantul Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (P3KAB) Bantul Ninik Istitarin at the activity in Bantul, citing ANTARA on Sunday, August 10.

The activities that were attended by participants from elementary and junior high school (SMP) students as well as the Bantul Children's Forum also collaborated with various parties, including the Association of Indonesian Children's Friends Company (APSAI) Bantul and the Kolong Tangga Children's Museum.

Ninik said the purpose of this HAN commemoration included increasing activities for the use of free time and cultural activities for the formation of positive children's characters, as well as encouraging the role of families in positive care.

"Also strengthening the collaboration of stakeholders in child protection, reducing the number of violence, bullying, and crimes against children, and implementing Child-Friendly Regencies (KLA)," he said.

Deputy Regent of Bantul, Aris Suharyanta appreciated all parties who have supported the Bantul Regency Government to maintain the title of the Main Category KLA from the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) which was achieved on August 8, 2025.

"Hopefully we can achieve the title of KLA Plenary in the future, which means that the protection and fulfillment of children's rights will continue to improve," he said.
