Get Ready, Recruitment Of 1,000 DKI Firefighters Opened August 12

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung announced that the opening of the recruitment of firefighters (damkar) will begin on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

Later, the registration of firefighters will be carried out online by each Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-Department in each city.

"I have decided to register for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Fire and Rescue Service or what is said to be a damkar will start on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for three days," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Friday, August 8.

The DKI Provincial Government has opened 1,000 formations of firefighters, with details of 202 people in West Jakarta, 187 people in Central Jakarta, 211 people in South Jakarta, 219 people in East Jakarta, and 181 people in North Jakarta.

"For the Thousand Islands, while it is still under treatment and later it will be coordinated by the Thousand Islands Regent," said Pramono.

Pramono set different conditions for the registration of PPSU officers. For clearer requirements, Pramono asked residents to wait for the official announcement of the Gulkarmat Service.

However, he revealed several conditions for firefighter applicants, namely a minimum of high school or equivalent graduates to a minimum height of 165 centimeters.

In addition, the DKI Gulkarmat Service will also cooperate with the TNI to carry out physical tests for applicants.

"Why does it need to be done? Because we are really preparing for this damkar to be a person who wants to work well. This fire department is now getting extraordinary appreciation and we are taking care of that," explained Pramono.
