In Order To Realize PAM Water Can Be Drink, PAM Jaya Asks Citizens To Understand The Disruption Of Pipe Galian

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Perumda PAM Jaya, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, asked for the understanding of Jakarta residents whose mobility was disrupted due to the excavation of PAM Jaya pipes on the road.

"I appeal to the public who may later be disturbed by the excavation of pipes, we will give them a new, good piping," Prasetyo told reporters, Friday, August 8.

Moreover, the DKI Provincial Government wants PAM Jaya's water to be drunk directly to people's homes.

Meanwhile, PAM Jaya must first replace the old pipes that are tens to hundreds of years old and rusty in order to drain drinking water.

"In people's homes, right, there must be an old pipe repair. It must be rehabilitated. Now, this is currently running, some of it has been used through water purifiers. We can just drink it," said Prasetyo.

As the supervisor of PAM Jaya who recently took office, Prasetyo admitted that he had reminded the board of directors to intensify the increase in coverage of piped water services.

As is known, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung targets PAM Jaya to start listed on the stock exchange or conduct an initial public offering (IPO) in 2027.

Meanwhile, there is a minimum limit on service coverage so that PAM Jaya can sell its shares to the public.

"Now the service coverage is 73 percent. So if we want an IPO, it's above 80 percent. Well, that's what we have to work hard and the community can judge the performance of PAM Jaya to our target of an IPO," explained Prasetyo.
