The Bima Domestic Waste Corruption Investigation Process, The Prosecutor's Office Calls It Still Tracing State Losses

JAKARTA - The Bima District Attorney (Kejari) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) stated that the investigation into the alleged corruption case in the 2020 domestic wastewater management program until 2023 is still ongoing.

Head of the Intelligence Section of the Bima Attorney General's Office, Virdis F Putra, through a statement received in Mataram on Thursday, said that in this series of investigations his party was still investigating the potential loss to the state.

In investigating this case, the prosecutor's office has examined a number of witnesses from among the non-governmental organizations (KSM) involved in the implementation of the program.

He said the agenda for the examination was also continuing with the agenda leading to a number of relevant officials, one of whom was the Bima City Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR). The examination also traces related documents.

The Head of the Special Crimes Section of the Bima Kejari, Catur Hidayat, previously submitted a request for the document as part of a series of investigations, including asking for information from related parties.

"The point is, everything we have clarified in the investigation, we are planning to be examined at the investigation stage as witnesses," he said.

The implementation of the program aimed at suppressing environmental pollution in Bima City, Catur ensures that it is present in every physical project work for the construction of distribution networks and drainage.

From the search of the Bima City Electronic Procurement Service page, there are quite a lot of projects with the work name listed. At least in the 2020-2023 period, there were 20 work items at the village level with a nominal work budget of up to hundreds of millions of rupiah on average.
