The Cianjur District Attorney (Kejari) has named AM as a new suspect in the alleged corruption case of Public Road Lighting (PJU) for the 2023 fiscal year at the Cianjur Regency Transportation Service (Dishub) which caused state losses of Rp. 8.4 billion.

The head of the Cianjur State Prosecutor's Office, Kamin, said that AM was the new private party to carry out PJU project activities worth Rp. 40 billion, currently still undergoing investigations to develop cases of alleged PJU corruption.

"Currently, the person concerned has been detained and underwent an examination for the development of the PJU case which cost the state Rp. 8.4 billion, previously we have named two suspects DG, the former head of the service and MIH as planning consultants," he said in Cianjur Tuesday, confiscated by Antara.

Suspect AM acts as a representative of the project-winning company that signs a work contract with the Cianjur Transportation Agency, where the findings of many contracts are not in accordance with the implementation in the field.

So that his party temporarily entrusted the suspect AM and two other suspects at the Class II B Correctional Institution (Lapas) Cianjur to facilitate the examination process in accordance with the investigation warrant number Print 2514/M.2.27/Fd.2/07/2025.

"Currently, only three people have been named as suspects, possibly the number will increase after the development of the statements of the three people," he said.

He added that his party was still developing investigations and statements from the suspects in order to reveal other suspects in the case. "After development, it is possible that there are other suspects," he said.

As reported by the Cianjur District Attorney, two suspects were named in the alleged corruption case of Public Road Lighting (PJU) at the Cianjur Regency Transportation Service in 2023, one of which was the former Head of the Cianjur Transportation Agency Dadan Ginanjar.

The head of the Cianjur Kejari, Kamin, said that apart from Dadan, his party named another suspect on behalf of MIH as a consultant for the PJU project work planner, which resulted in the state's loss of Rp. 8.4 billion.

"After an investigation, it was revealed that the suspect Dadan was suspected of not carrying out his duties in accordance with applicable regulations, while MIH did not have an expertise certification as a planning consultant," he said.

After examining 30 witnesses, his party found the practice of borrowing a company or borrowing a flag using the names PT GS and PT SYB for projects in the northern and southern regions of Cianjur.

Even the results of the investigation noted that the planning made was not in accordance with the standards, causing potential state financial losses of Rp. 8,491,605,289.63.
